Greatest restaurant in northern Illinois. The fancy scenery of the train set and the bar are quite impressive. Not to mention great food and everything. I personally will guarantee that you will love this place, you won't be sorry.

I had the patty melt, it was cooked perfectly. I asked for a side of dressing and the waitress remembered. She was on the ball refilling my water. Everything I ask for in a great burger place.

A Great Find! The burgers were delicious and we also had their old-fashioned milkshakes which were huge and fantastic as well! Can't wait to go back and try some of the other dishes on the menu.

I eat in this restaurant from time to time! This is the best place to to have a good dinner. I go to this spot routinely. The cooking is excellent, the team is friendly and the prices are fair. I enjoy meeting in this restaurant over a rich meal.

This place is a north shore staple, tall ice cold beers, delicious burgers and a great menu. Free popcorn that you help yourself to at the bar. Consistant service, you should go just to say you've been. One of my faves.

Yum yum booze and wings in the tum tum. Deals often during weeknights, great atmosphere, and complimentary popcorn! Plus, there's a model train that may blow you away if you've never seen a model train before :)

The atmosphere is great, the food is good, but I also waited 25 minutes to get water. When we asked someone for help the wait staff was unapologetic and still took 10 minutes to bring us water. So go when it’s not busy or head somewhere else.

We brought a hockey team with 40 people to the Lantern. The owner made us feel like it was an inconvenience for her to accommodate us. Now I did called ahead of time to ask if they could accommodate us. As in 5 hours ahead of time! The owner said yes. We were also told by the waitress when we called that children eat free after 4:00. When it came time for the bill... the Kid meals were NOT free. We were not told ahead of time that if you have to many Kids it is not free. When I asked the owner about this she was extremely rude! She said that she changed the rules because we had to many kids. Granted every child had their parents with them that also ate! When I told her she needed to have this posted somewhere she became very angry. I can say she just lost at least 12 families, which will spread the word!

Great food, drink, and service. Great place to meet people and watch sports. The staffs professional and the foods always great. Drink specials nightly and open till midnight.

Great sandwiches. Patty Mac is an amazing tuna melt. Also they serve popcorn instead of chips or bread like some resturaunts, so that's cool

Classic American local Pub with amazing food with a down to earth atmosphere!

It's where all the Lake Forest people start to pile in at happy hour. You'll find your local drunks there for sure. I've never understood the attraction. The food is mediocre at best and it's loud.

Great bar in downtown Lake Forest. Typical bar offerings. Good service, great prices. It's not a fancy place like some other ones in Lake Forest, but if you want a place to bring the kids for lunch/dinner or simply a place to catch a beer with a friend than this is your place.

The stupid sauce is fantastic on wings. Stupid hot though let me tell you. Next time I'll try the "Best Burger in Town".

We tried to eat here tonight. We are from out of town. We have 4 adults, a 2 year old and a baby. The guy seating us trotted us through the dining area before shrugging at us and acting like we were an inconvenience to seat and he didn’t want to even try to. We asked how long it would be to get a larger table, and he shrugged, saying people keep coming in, so he didn’t know. Ummmm... aren’t we next? So we left and went elsewhere, where we were treated as valuable customers!

A Lake Forest Institution! I've been going since I can remember.... The Tiffany Family made it what it is today and it's a great place to have a family meal or watch the game. Try the Broasted Chicken... WOW... SO GOOD!

I visit this place a lot since I work nearby. I got to say the customer service is always awesome and they keep the spot neat at all times. Prices are affordable and they serve generous portions.

I think the location is what keeps this place somewhere nice to come and have a bite to eat!

Great service and an excellent Patty Melt w/chips made this a wonderful lunch stop. The restaurant itself was clean, well laid out, and the atmosphere good for small conversation. The addition of a spicy ketchup condiment option on the table was a surprise and provided a slightly different spin on the meals taste. Recommended without reservation.

Busy on a Friday night, to be expected. Wait staff was a little behind. I definitely do not recommend the BBQ pork Mac and Cheese. It was very sweet with too much BBQ sauce and too little Mac and Cheese. BBQ'd Productions in Grayslake does a much better version of this dish.

The burgers are wonderful but the new star of the show for me is the mac and cheese with lobster. Great meld of mac and a tasty but not salty cheese with a ton of tender flavorful lobster. A great idea excellently executed.
